Boating

Why Float?

There is something for everyone in the world of boating. If you are a fitness fanatic and spend your free time at the gym, why not soak up some sun rays in a kayak on cardio day? Paddling is a very effective way of exercising those core, arm, and back muscles with little stress put on the body, not to mention it is way more fun than sitting on that elliptical or stationary bike going nowhere fast. Check out our recommended paddles section and choose from seven different water trails with skill levels ranging from novice to advanced. If you are more of the adrenaline loving, high-impact kind of person, why not spend the day learning some new tricks on a wakeboard or getting tossed around while tubing. Or maybe you're someone who rarely has any free time and likes to spend what little time you do have relaxing on the couch. Instead of sitting indoors you could drop a boat in at one of the many local boat ramps, anchor out and dip your fishing pole in the water for a few hours and come home with dinner if you're lucky!

Whether you find yourself floating down the Wicomico River  in a 14ft canoe or a 40ft bayliner, you'd be astonished at the beautiful landscape and wildlife waiting to be discovered from the local waterways that are just minutes away from downtown Salisbury. The "waters-eye view" is overlooked by many, and is a perspective that not all get a chance to see. There are many advantages to getting out on the water. The fun is endless, the views are priceless, and there's no telling what you may discover!
